How to export your Gramps genealogy to GEDCOM to open and edit it for free in your browser.

Gramps is free and open-source genealogy software. It easily exports to the standard GEDCOM exchange format.

Gramps saves by default in its internal database (.gramps format). A GEDCOM export creates a standard version readable by everyone.

Export a GEDCOM — Gramps

  1. Open your tree in Gramps.
  2. Family (or Trees) menu → Export → GEDCOM.
  3. Save the .ged, then open it here.

Open that GEDCOM in Genea World to view or correct it, right in your browser and fully privately.
